Ciutat del Cap: Guide
Ciutat del Cap (xhosa:eKapa o SaseKapa; afrikaans:Kaapstad, anglès:Cape Town) és una ciutat de Sud-Àfrica situada prop del cap de Bona Esperança, d'on li prové el nom.
Va ser fundada el 1652 per neerlandesos de la Companyia de les Índies Orientals, essent l'assentament europeu més antic del país.
Avui en dia és una metròpoli d'entre (depenent de la font) 2,5 i 6 milions d'habitants; capital legislativa del país (seu del parlament) així com de la província del Cap Occidental. És a més el destí turístic més important de Sud-àfrica. La ciutat té un clima mediterrani.
Encaixonats entre la Tafelbaai|badia i la Tafelberg|muntanya de Tafel, una sèrie de suburbis i àrees residencials envolten un centre urbà ple de gratacels.
Situada prop del Cap Agulhas on es dóna l'aiguabarreig oceànic entre el corrent fred de Benguela (Oceà Atlàntic) i el càlid d'Agulhas (Oceà Índic).
